Despite the name of the blog, this is not intended to be a gear review site (I don't have enough money or time to test all that equipment). That said, I would like to take a brief moment to describe the equipment that I use.
As shown above, the following cameras are what I currently use:
Sony A7II
Sony RX1R (a 35mm f2 fixed lens compact camera)
My current lenses include:
Sony 24-240mm f3.5-6.3 (5/18/17 update: sold)
Zeiss 16-35mm f4
Zeiss 55mm f1.8
(new) Sony 85mm f1.8
Canon 70-200mm f4 L
I like the Sony A7II for the full frame image quality, in-body image stabilization (IBIS), and its ability to adapt different lenses. The Canon 70-200mm lens works great with reliable autofocus (in good light).
The Sony RX1R, on the other hand, is my everyday camera. It is small enough that I can throw it in my backpack on my way to work, and it helps me capture moments that I would have otherwise missed or had to take with my cellphone camera. While I find my LG G5 phone quite capable (and also very unique with its wide angle lens), like most cellphone cameras, image quality suffers greatly in low-light. I also think the RX1R's Zeiss 35mm f2 lens is sharper than any lens I have for the A7II.
I am sure I will talk more about my gear in later posts!
